Foreign Policy – Venezuela

The resolution that I wrote opposing “any military intervention in Venezuela; all covert interference in that nation’s affairs; the use of economic sanctions and assets seizures designed to further immiserate its people; and all further measures designed to impose so-called ‘regime change’ from Washington” and calling upon “our elected representatives in Congress to vigorously oppose such policies for no covert interference in Venezuela’s affairs,” was adopted by the Bernal Heights Democratic Club, the Harvey Milk LGBTQ Democratic Club, the San Francisco Berniecrats, and the San Francisco Democratic County Central Committee. I also wrote an article, “San Francisco Democrats adopt Venezuela stance diametrically opposed to Pelosi’s,” about the SFDCCC vote.

I support H.R. 1004, sponsored by Representative David Cicilline (D-RI), to prohibit military intervention in Venezuela without congressional authorization.
